Layan AlBakri

Layan AlBakri is an Amman-based visual artist, jeweler, and art instructor. She studied Visual Arts at the University of Jordan. Her practice explores the relationship between humanity and the environment, examining how these forces continuously shape one another. Her work blends abstraction with portraiture and figurative elements, experimenting with materials and techniques to translate cultural and environmental narratives into layered visual forms. Working across painting and silkscreen printing, she often draws inspiration from emotionally rich local stories and community experiences.
