Saoud Abdallah
Saoud Abdallah is a Syrian artist born in 1976 and currently based in Amman, Jordan. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2005, followed by a postgraduate diploma in 2006. He also obtained a teaching certificate from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University and taught drawing courses for six years between 2007 and 2012. Abdallah has participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, including Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. His work is characterized by the incorporation of natural sand collected from various regions of Syria, which he uses to build textured surfaces and emotionally charged figures on canvas. Through this distinctive material approach, Abdallah explores form, presence, and the human condition, creating works that balance physical density with emotional depth.
