While trying to capture the spirit of the Palestinian people, particularly those in Gaza facing the relentless destruction. It is disheartening to witness how genocide is disgustingly labeled as an act of self-defense, a distortion of truth that blinds those who try to benefit from it. It is a tragedy beyond words that basic human rights have sadly vanished when it came to the people of Gaza. The world watches, yet some remain willfully ignorant to the violence and death that unfold before their eyes. While painting i couldn't stop thinking about how our world is wired to forgetting everything with "time" which i know and believe no Palestinians will be forgotten. Their presence is woven into the very fabric of their homeland and echoes in our hearts, since the beginning of this terror everyday is a reminder to me of eternal gratitude for the simple blessings of life. through painting, i chose to leave the canvas white, as a metaphor for the essence of Palestine. Just as the land itself remains pure and untouched beneath the turmoil, reflecting the originality of the true homeland in its core, even the land bears witness to their impact, a land imprinted with the footsteps of those who refuse to be erased or replaced. it is and will always be Palestine. Palestinians have left an indelible mark on every inch of their homeland. They are not numbers or statistics no matter how hard some will try to state and believe the colors and numbers attached to the subjects are simply outlined and faded for that reason.
