Othman Shihab
Is a Jordanian artist born in 1988 whose practice bridges abstraction and figuration, creating a compelling dialogue between form, texture, and emotion. With more than two decades of artistic practice, Shihab has developed a distinctive visual language that balances structural precision with expressive spontaneity. As the founder of Lailak Art Institute and the creator of the Fine Art Department at Talal Abu Ghazaleh University, he has played a central role in mentoring emerging artists and shaping contemporary art education in the region.
Over the years, his dedication to artistic innovation has earned him several international art awards from Austria, Bulgaria, Sweden, Oman, and Jordan. He has also participated in numerous symposiums in Jordan and abroad and has served on jury panels for major art competitions, reflecting his commitment to advancing artistic dialogue.
